Easy to Install Emergency Conversion Kits for 12 Volt Lamps up to 50 Watts

SPEL's low voltage lighting train enables 12 volt Tungsten Halogen lamps to operate in the event of a power failure. The ability to feed the lighting train through ceiling aperture cut-out's of 60mm using Nicad versions and 85mm using sealed lead acid versions ensures easy installation.

The lighting train is available in Non-Maintained mode, where the lamp is only illuminated when the power fails and also Maintained mode, which is supplied with an integral transformer which operates the lamps both in mains healthy and in the event of a power failure.

The low voltage lighting trains features high quality, high temperature Nickel Cadmium batteries or 5 year sealed acid batteries and a silicone coated woven glass fibre sleeving ensuring the product complies with BS/EN60924. Maintained versions of the lighting train allow dimming of the Halogen lamps if required.

Nicad versions provide 3 hours duration in the emergency mode when using 20 Watt Halogen lamps and 1 hour duration when using 50 Watt Halogen lamps. All sealed lead acid version provide three hours duration in the emergency mode.
